The Pan American Dragon Boat Federation (PADBF) cordially invites all clubs to participate in the 6th Pan American Club Crew Dragon Boat Championships, to be held in Montreal, Canada from July 4 to 6, 2025 with an overflow date of July 3rd in case of higher-than-expected registration.

RACING SITE 

The event will be held at the Olympic Basin located at Parc Jean Drapeau (10 minutes from down town Montreal). A legacy from the 1976 Summer Olympics. The Olympic Basin has been hosting regional, national and international dragon boat racing for over 25 years.  It is 2.2 kilometres in length; 110 metres wide and 2.5 metres deep. It is a beautiful venue in the heart of the city. 

Venue is accessible by public transport: metro Jean-Drapeau station on the yellow line See google map.

RACING SPECS 

Racing will be conducted under IDBF rules in both Small and Standard Boats.

Qualification: Club crews do not need to qualify to participate. Club crews must be members in good standing with their national federations.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

By completing this form you are informing the organizing committee of your intention to register for the 2025 Pan American Club Crew Championships of Dragon Boating taking place in Montreal July 3-6, 2025

 

Before completing the provisional entry please ensure you've carefully read Bulletin #1 here: paccc2025.com/bulletin1
 

  1. The provisional entry is used to help organizers effectively plan the event and to provide clubs with information regarding other club crew entries. The provisional entry period is from January 6 to March 1, 2025. It will be still possible to make changes after March 1st; these changes will need to be communicated directly with the organizing committee. 
     

  2. The provisional entry is to be completed by the club manager. 
     

  3. This form can accommodate up to 10 entries per club. If more than 10 entries are required please complete an additional form.
     

  4. There is no penalty for withdrawing a provisional entry before the April 30th confirmed entry deadline, at which point a 50% deposit is due. Instructions for confirming entries and providing deposits will be provided in up coming bulletins. 
     

  5. Signing into google is not necessary to complete the form. Simply start by clicking next below.

LOCAL DIVISION

A community division will be incorporated in the PACCC for local community level crews who usually take part in the Montreal International Dragon Boat Challenge & Cultural Festival, which is on pause this year due to the PACCC. The format will resemble the usual Challenge community division, but some modifications to scheduling will occur to accommodate the PACCC. 

Details:

  • Racing only on July 5 & 6

  • Standard boats only

  • Mixed, Women and Open(to be confirmed). One age class: any age.
     

Tentative schedule:

  • July 5: 2 x 500m , 1 x 200m (to be confirmed)

  • July 6: 1 x 2000m per category

 

PFD required for community division racing. 


Registration fee is $1350 plus taxes per team, per category

 

Registration for the PACCC 2025 local division will be via the Mission Dragon boat website.

Organized by Montreal’s two largest clubs H2o Dragon boat and 22 Dragons

The event will be hosted by an experienced organizing committee composed of the leadership from 22Dragons and H2oplayground, two of the world's most prolific clubs.  Together they have been organizing various events in Montreal for over 20 years, including the Montreal International Dragon Boat & Cultural Festival

Champion dragon boats

The boats used during the event will be Champion. Need a boat? All boats will be available at the end of the event. Contact Mission dragon boat for a quote.
